Swaying/knit is a knitwear brand founded in Shanghai in 2018 by knitwear and fabric designer ShaSha Wong. ShaSha Wong holds an undergraduate degree in Fashion Fabrics from the London College of Fashion and a Master's degree in Knitwear from the Royal College of Art in 2017.
Through visual language, the combination of different materials, and variations in knitwear structure, she expresses the intangible feelings and emotions that arise from each inspiration, and recreates the image of a gentle yet resilient independent woman that the brand pursues.
The brand name, swaying, represents both the movement of the machine and the body during knitting and the designer's relaxed, comfortable, and enjoyable feeling while knitting; it also reflects the knitter's fascination with knitting.
