PRECIOUS ARTEFACT

Audrey Guimard - Marie Jeunet

An ode to nature, this is what the two artists offer us by bringing together their expertise and favorite materials: tufa stone and glass. Dialogue, exchange and stories are the basis of their work.

Precious Artefact is a capsule collection of light sculptures by Audrey Guimard and Marie Jeunet. On sculptural stone plinths, like so many mineral landscapes, are integrated sheets of coloured glass and blocks of raw material which, through skilful play of lights and textures, magnify the stone and the surfaces surrounding them. Coloured transparencies and hypnotic caustics evolve before our eyes throughout the day.

The pieces projects natural like phenomenas such as waves, sunrises and sunsets, moonlight reflections on these abstract settings where the sand turned glass binds with the shapes of the rock. The brass, affixed as a signature, magnifies the whole and finishes consecrating its precious objects. They are committed to offering pieces that meet the sensibilities of their customers and blend in perfectly with their interiors.

AUDREY GUIMARD

Set designer, artist-sculptor, admirer of nature and fervent supporter of awareness in our ways of creating and living art. Audrey Guimard apprehends space in all its dimensions, from the monumental to the object. She creates bridges between architecture, land art, installation, sculpture and design.

Her work is based on the transformation of matter, whether through hybridization with other elements, the way of sculpting it, its highlighting and its setting in space. The ecological dimension is fundamental, a commitment that she has long respected as much as possible, particularly through the reuse and diversion of materials intended for disposal, or materials collected in nature.

MARIE JEUNET

Grandparents who were framers and manufacturers of lighting, a childhood spent next to the workshop of a great master glassmaker, this predestined Marie Jeunet to have a passion for the decorative arts early on.

After more than 12 years as a creative in the service of prestigious brands, she began to understand the material by learning different stained glass techniques in a Parisian workshop. Very quickly, she decides to create objects - living objects. She offers tailor-made creations to her clients with choices of glasses: colours, textures, transparencies, reflections, play of materials and lighting effects, the combinations and their stories are endless.
