Francesc Ruiz Abad (Palamós, Spain 1990) uses a myriad of image-making approaches, focusing on but not limited to painting and drawing. His practice playfully fuses humor, time and accident with contrasting and jarring techniques.

During the last eight years has been traveling, doing residencies, projects and exhibitions internationally. He has shown his work individually in Pouvoir et Fatigue, Le Beffroi (Montrouge, 2019), Still Cuba (La Habana, 2019), Night on Earth, Mannerheim Gallery (Paris, 2018), A la corda fluixa, Ana Mas Projects (Barcelona, 2018) Copy to Learn, Learn to Copy, The Lodge Gallery (Los Angeles, 2017), I Didn’t Know I Was Collecting, Arranz Bravo Fundation (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, 2016).

His work has been shown in institutional group exhibitions such as GfZk, Fabra i Coats and Vila Casas Foundation. He's author of several publications and gave lectures such as Paper Exhibitions, MoMA PS1 (New York City, 2016) and Hiding Maps, Yarat Art Center (Baku, 2014)
