Abid Javed is a ceramic artist, creating collectable ‘molecular objects’.
With a background in Molecular Biology, the collections and objects bring in the unseen world to the forefront, with an aim to build a spiritual connection.
The body of work places itself in between functional and sculptural, focusing on form and the natural state of the clay body.
There are two main collections being produced through a series of vessels and sculptures, subject matters that include molecules, together with Arabic script and geometry.
All objects are hand-built and are unique, each carefully crafted around a story-line.
