A S P A C E is a New York-based design & art studio co-founded by Anna Aristova and Roza Gazarian in 2016. Our one-of-a-kind functional art pieces are an attempt to bring in the timeless beauty of nature to contemporary lifestyle, whether it’s functional furniture or a decorative object. The essence of each of our creations is a sense of a vast open space, where ideas, thoughts or feelings spontaneously arise and evolve through experimentation and play. Our work is a constant balance of opposites -- improvisation and thoughtful planning, in- tuition and knowledge, organic and geometric.

Each object is a one-of-a-kind creation that beckons to look beyond mere form and material, and to connect to the primordial nature of the elements.

BARBICAN

A brutalist-ethereal collection of work that soulfully examines the meaning of luxury. The sculptural furniture, lighting, and decorative pieces draw upon the esthetic of the Barbican whose respect for the passage of time lends objects an imperfect and thoughtful beauty. Made using painstaking experimental techniques, the collection is a heartfelt response to the changing circumstances in the World, both past and present.

The Source

Inspired by antiquity, material, crafstmanship and architecture of Armenia, this collection consists of 11 limited edition objects, handcarved from volcanic tuff by two local masters.

Found II

It consists of 10 one-of-a-kind objects that are cut from a single piece of 10"-thick stone. Each object features a polished surface on one side, and its natural roughness on the other side, reminiscent of the mountains that the stone came from
