Jan Garncarek is a young designer based in Warsaw, Poland. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. He also gaind experience in Politecnico di Milano, Italy. There he met great masters like Michele De Lucchi and Andrea Branzi. They influenced his thinking about contemporary design.
After graduation Jan worked in various design fields, such as: site specific projects in Warsaw or interior design project of Polish Embassy in Berlin. After gaining professional experience, in 2016 he set up his own company - Jan Garncarek Design in collaboration with Ewelina Makosa (visual artist & interior designer). While designing his main aim is to achieve balance between design and sculpture, as a form of conceptual design. He combines massive and spherical forms with the ones which are more subtle. He always search for unique language of visual expression.
All of Jan Garnacarek’s products are hand crafted. Produced as a short series, signed and being displayed only in meticulously chosen galleries and design showrooms in Europe and US.
Jan Garncarek took part in exhibitions during Paris Design Week 2017 and Art Basel 2018.
